Board of Agriculture signs new frame agreement

The Swedish Board of Agriculture has signed a new frame agreement with Know IT regarding consultancy services in systems development construction and technology. The agreement runs from Jan 1, 2010 through Dec 31, 2011, with an option for the purchaser to extend for another 12 months at most. The value of suborders within the frame agreement amount to SEK 130-160 million, with an emphasis on systems development construction. The Board of Agriculture is leaving no guarantees that any certain volume will be ordered.

Know IT to establish a presence in Finland – acquires the IT consultancy firm Endero Oy

Know IT AB has signed an agreement to acquire Endero Oy, a leading Finnish IT consultancy firm operating in Helsinki and Saint Petersburg. The company has around 150 employees, of which 20 are in Saint Petersburg. Endero focuses on Testing & Quality Assurance, Systems Development and Enterprise Content Management. The acquisition means Know IT will grow to around 1,350 employees and will establishing a local presence on the Finnish market. Thus, Know IT can offer local resources to Nordic clients operating in Finland.

The Swedish Police and Armed Forces have the best government authority web sites

The trade journal Internetworld elected Polisen.se Sweden’s best government authority web site 2009, with the Swedish Armed Forces’ site as a strong second. Know IT has been in charge of development and maintenance for both sites. The Internetworld committee judged the sites based on five criteria: Developmental power, Using the internet in an innovative manner, Editorial quality, Structure & navigation, and Functional design.

Know IT to develop games for Studentlitteratur

Know IT HT AB has been given an assignment from Studentlitteratur AB, to develop an integrated chapter-based game to supplement Magic 5, a teaching aid in English for the fifth grade. Fifth graders become part of a virtual world, in which they, using their knowledge of English, must solve assignments to seize a stolen talisman and bring order to the world.
