Santander Consumer Bank launches new online bank

Santander Consumer Bank is launching a new online bank in Sweden, developed by Knowit Reaktor in Stockholm. The new internet bank provides a better user experience for bank clients using PC, tablet or smartphone.

It will become easier to use services and sign up for new products. Through a flexible editor interface, new opportunities are created to change and optimize the online bank continually.

Knowit has created the concept, design and interaction design and provided interface, development, testing, web analysis, training and project management. Knowit has had full responsibility for the online face of the bank.

The service warehouse, which interacts with underlying systems, has been developed by another supplier in parallel, in close collaboration with Knowit.

The new website, developed on EPiServer 7, has functions that include bank transfers, increasing loans and credits, handling cards, sending secure messages and offers.

– Our focus was on simplifying and improving the total client experience. The new online bank has increased functionality, new interaction design and is accessible via smartphone, tablet and PC. We are very happy with Knowit’s work on this launch, says Peter Leijonspjuth, Head of Digital Channels at Santander Consumer Bank.

In Sweden, Santander Consumer Bank has 450,000 clients and offers savings accounts, consumer loans, vehicle financing, debit and credit cards and installment plans for stores and e-retailers. The bank’s aim is to be the best bank for clients, partners, shareholders and employees. Santander Consumer Bank belongs to the global banking corporation Banco Santander, one of the largest banks in Europe and the world, with 107 million clients in over 45 countries. Santander has in the past ten years been named the best bank in the world three times.
